UNSPSC 26111505: Chain drives

UNSPSC 26111505 Chain drives is a Commodity code identifying individual mechanical power-transmission components, yet the two recent state and local opportunities tagged under it bear no relation to chain drive procurement. The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County's RFEI 27-501 solicits a full Demolition, Design, Build, Operate and Maintain contract for a new mass-burn waste-to-energy facility processing 2,550 tons per day of municipal solid waste, while DeKalb County's ITB 2026-076-ITB covers reconstruction of the DeKalb Tennis Center including IT and low-voltage infrastructure installation. Neither opportunity involves the purchase of chain drives or related power-transmission equipment. The code shows little relevant recent activity; the two posted opportunities appear to represent a misclassification of scope against the UNSPSC taxonomy.

The geographic spread of recent activity is limited to Florida and Georgia based on the available records. The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County and DeKalb County in Georgia represent two distinct issuing bodies — a special-purpose waste authority and a county government — but neither is soliciting products or services within the chain drives commodity. Without a meaningful recent-opportunity record aligned to the code's actual scope, a strategic assessment of state and local procurement activity under this UNSPSC category cannot be supported from the source material provided.
