About the company
Myanmar Positive Group (MPG) is a non-profit organization providing HIV/AIDS services in Myanmar. Through federal grant subawards, MPG delivers antiretroviral therapy, HIV testing and counseling, linkage to care, and treatment adherence support. MPG also works to reduce HIV-related stigma.
MPG has received multiple federal grant subawards from ICAP at Columbia University, funded through PEPFAR. Across 2019-2022, these subawards focused on providing peer support for HIV prevention, testing, care and treatment, improving messaging around treatment adherence, and implementing the Stigma Index 2.0 survey to address stigma and discrimination. Additionally in 2022, MPG received a subaward from the University of California, Los Angeles to coordinate provision of antiretroviral therapy to over 35,000 HIV-positive individuals in Myanmar. MPG tracks over 11,000 HIV-positive Facebook users to provide online care and answers to health-related questions. Through these partnerships, MPG delivers differentiated services to improve outcomes for people living with HIV in Myanmar.
