About this opportunity
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) has issued a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Regional Zika Virus Emergency Readiness Training and Exercises (ZERTE) to be conducted in three metropolitan areas: St. Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield. The procurement seeks comprehensive conference services for three separate events aimed at developing community-based readiness, response, and recovery plans to reduce Zika virus and mosquito-borne disease transmission. Targeted participants include administrators, environmental public health specialists, emergency preparedness planners, and government agency pesticide applicators from Local Public Health Agencies (LPHA) and Public Works Agencies (PWA). The required services encompass 24 standard guest rooms per night, meeting rooms for 39 attendees, audiovisual equipment (including wireless microphones, projection screens, projectors, AV cart, and podium), continental breakfasts, box lunches, beverage breaks, exhibit/booth space, and parking. The solicitation was posted on March 14, 2018, with responses due by March 29, 2018, and conferences scheduled between May and June 2018. Vendors must submit detailed pricing for each service component on a per-unit basis, with specific requirements for each metropolitan area location.
The RFQ does not specify any set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on vendor participation. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The procurement is funded through a United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) grant under Funding Opportunity Announcement CDC-RFA-TP16-1602, though the specific budget amount is not disclosed. Vendors can submit responses either electronically through the MissouriBUYS system or as a hard copy to the Department of Health and Senior Services in Jefferson City. While the RFQ provides extensive details about service requirements and specifications, it does not indicate a predetermined award value or specific budget range for the conference services. The procurement appears open to all qualified vendors who can meet the comprehensive service requirements for the ZERTE conferences across the three metropolitan areas.
