About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is pursuing a single-source procurement opportunity with Whole Foods Market, Inc. for the "Fresh from Florida" Grocery Retailer Marketing Program. This contract aims to support the Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign by promoting Florida produce, seafood, meat, and horticulture within Whole Foods stores. The procurement involves marketing promotions and brand promotion services, specifically focusing on creating weekly online sale flyers, in-store signage, coordinating promotions across all locations, developing vendor-specific publications, and managing social media posts. The contract will cover sales and business promotion activities under UNSPSC codes 80141600 and 80171702, with a performance period from the date of execution through June 30, 2026. Prospective vendors who believe they can provide these commodities or services must submit relevant information to the contact person by July 02, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The department will review any received information to determine if the services are truly available from a single source, with a potential notice of intended decision to be posted on the Vendor Information Portal.
The procurement is specifically targeted at a non-paid member of the "Fresh From Florida" Industry Membership program, which effectively limits potential respondents. No specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are mentioned in the documentation. The estimated contract amount is $40,000.00, with a potential total amount of up to $100,000.00. Whole Foods Market, Inc. is positioned as the preferred vendor due to their unique capabilities in agricultural marketing and promotional activities. The contract is being pursued under Florida Statute 571.24, which authorizes agricultural promotional campaigns. There are no explicit mentions of incumbent vendors or specific technology integration requirements. The procurement is confined to Leon County within the state of Florida and is structured as a single-source procurement mechanism, allowing for potential alternative vendors to demonstrate comparable capabilities during the initial fifteen-business-day advertisement period.
