Bid documents are available from Parker Engineering, LLC for a non-refundable fee of $150 per full-size set, with contact information provided for document acquisition. The procurement emphasizes public infrastructure improvement and sustainable transportation infrastructure through the inclusion of EV charging stations.
The contract opportunity appears to be open to all qualified contractors without explicit set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises. Funding for the project will be derived from the American Rescue Act Plan Fund and the City of Waynesboro's municipal budget. The City reserves significant discretion in the procurement process, explicitly maintaining the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities in the bidding process. While specific budget ranges are not detailed, the comprehensive nature of the parking lot improvements suggests a substantial municipal investment. The project's funding source and infrastructure improvements indicate a commitment to municipal modernization and sustainable urban development. Prospective bidders should be prepared to demonstrate technical capabilities in municipal infrastructure construction, particularly in parking lot rehabilitation, EV charging station installation, and associated civil engineering work.
