About this opportunity

The City of Ringgold is requesting sealed bids for various paving work under FY26, with bids due September 8, 2026. All bidders must be pre-qualified with the Georgia Department of Transportation and all subcontractors must be registered with GDOT — a mandatory eligibility gate.

The scope encompasses all labor, equipment, materials, and traffic control for the entire paving project. The contractor must provide adequate proof of workers' compensation and general liability coverage for all employees and equipment, maintain a drug and alcohol-free workplace compliant with City of Ringgold drug policy, and furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed agreement.

The City will award to the best responsible bidder as determined by quality of articles supplied, conformity with specifications, suitability to requirements, bidder experience, and delivery terms. The City reserves the right to award to other than the low bidder. Sealed bids must be submitted in opaque envelopes marked with the submitting company name and "Paving Bid" on the outside; any deviation from labeling requirements results in the bid being returned unopened and not considered. Bids shall be typed or submitted in ink and addressed to Nicki Lundeen, City of Ringgold, P.O. Box 579, Ringgold, Georgia 30736, or hand-delivered to City Hall at 150 Tennessee Street, Ringgold, Georgia. Bids received after the due date and time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and read publicly and are legally binding upon submission.
