About this opportunity
The City of South Fulton, Georgia Public Works Department is requesting bids on trash trap installation and maintenance services under ITB 26-31, with bids due July 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM EST via BidNet Direct and a non-mandatory pre-bid conference on June 15 at 10:00 AM via Microsoft Teams.
The scope includes installation of floating-barrier trash trap systems at three new sites—Great Southwest Parkway over Utoy Creek (30–40 ft waterway width), Flat Shoals Road over Morning Creek (12–20 ft width), and Bethsaida Road near Joshua Way (12–20 ft width)—and maintenance-only services at the existing Loch Lomond Trash Trap site (12–25 ft width). Pricing must cover per-site installation costs, bi-weekly maintenance, up to five staff training sessions, emergency maintenance call-outs, and replacement parts at a stated markup. Contractors must submit product data sheets, maintenance and safety plans, warranty statements, references demonstrating relevant experience, and evidence of required business licenses and insurance.
The City will establish one or more IDIQ contracts with an initial one-year term, renewable for up to three additional one-year terms at the City's discretion, for a maximum four-year total. All unit prices remain firm for the first twelve months. The City guarantees a minimum purchase of $5,000 during the initial contract term.
Insurance requirements include Commercial General Liability ($1 million each occurrence / $2 million aggregate), Automobile Liability ($1 million combined single limit), Workers' Compensation as required by Georgia law, and Pollution Liability Insurance ($1 million per claim). Contractors must comply with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations and obtain necessary permits unless identified as owner-obtained. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all mandatory requirements. Questions are due June 18 at 3:00 PM, with answers posted by June 24.
