About this opportunity
The Town of Greenwich Purchasing Department is requesting bids on traffic control signs and materials for the Highway Division of the Department of Public Works, with bids due June 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Bidders must be located within a 40-mile radius of Greenwich and demonstrate sufficient ability, resources, and experience in this class of work.
The scope encompasses 385 line items across regulatory signs, parking and no-parking signs, warning signs, guide signs, object markers, construction signs, school signs, sheeted sign blanks, overlay skins, sheeting materials, and miscellaneous items such as posts and stakes. All materials must conform to the 2009 edition or most current Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) standards and specified grades of retroreflective sheeting (Type I Prismatic Engineering, Type III High Intensity, and Type IX Diamond Grade) and aluminum specifications. All pricing shall be FOB Greenwich, Freight Prepaid and Allowed, with shipping and inside delivery costs included in unit prices.
The initial contract award is for one year, with four optional additional years available through mutual consent on an annual basis. Unit prices must remain firm for the initial one-year term and any option years unless the bidder indicates in the bid that pricing may increase or decrease in optional years, including a maximum percentage for each optional year. Delivery of all ordered materials must occur within five business days of purchase order receipt; emergency deliveries are required within 24 hours. The awarded vendor shall provide technical assistance and training at the Town's sign fabrication shop, with qualified technicians available on 48-hour notice for service and 24-hour notice for on-site assessment of manufacturing difficulties. Payment terms are net 30 days following receipt and acceptance of products. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, make awards on an item-by-item or lump sum basis, and increase or decrease quantities by up to 10 percent. No pre-bid conference or site visit is scheduled. Inquiries should be directed to Anthony Guardi at (203) 622-2251 or Anthony.Guardi@greenwichct.gov.
