About this opportunity
The Texas Office of the Governor (OOG) is seeking proposals from qualified respondents to provide services for the ongoing Texas Moving Image Archive Program (TMIAP). The TMIAP has been operating since 2008 to assist organizations statewide with image archival, restoration, and retrieval, as well as technical assistance for the preservation of moving images and digitization work. The program has digitized and archived over 40,000 films and videos to date. The requested services include community outreach, public education, digitization opportunities, database and public access, K-12 education, and promotional and marketing materials. The contract term is from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025, with options to renew for up to three additional 12-month periods. Evaluation criteria will focus on the respondent's company information, financial responsibility, experience, qualifications, proposed program content, and monthly service fees.
The RFP indicates potential subcontracting opportunities in the areas of communications/media services, library and historical services, and restoration/preservation services. While the RFP does not specify any set-aside designations, it does outline bidder preferences for Historically Underutilized Businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and businesses located in Economically Disadvantaged or Enterprise Zone Areas. The current incumbent contractor is not identified, and the RFP does not provide any details on the overall budget or award value for the contract.
