About this opportunity
Temple Independent School District is issuing an RFI on August 14, 2026 to gather market information from vendors on laptop devices suitable for a district-wide administrative and educator refresh cycle. This RFI does not constitute a procurement solicitation, does not obligate TISD to purchase, and serves solely for planning purposes. Any resulting purchase will be conducted through an approved procurement method consistent with Texas Education Code 44.031 and District Board Policy, potentially utilizing an approved purchasing cooperative contract.
TISD seeks laptop recommendations that meet or exceed specifications of the current district standard, the Lenovo ThinkPad L13 2-in-1 Gen 6, featuring Intel Core Ultra 5 225U processor, Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, 13.3" WUXGA touchscreen, 720P HD camera, Intel Wi-Fi 6E, and 41Wh battery. Proposed devices must support a five-year K-12 administrative lifecycle and maintain compatibility with existing USB-C docking stations and dual-monitor configurations.
Vendors must complete the Vendor Response Matrix, Questionnaires Q-13BI and Q-18QW, Pricing Sheet BT-61WP, and respond to seven narrative questions addressing device suitability, battery performance, warranty and support, compatibility, security capabilities, cooperative purchasing agreements, and overall value fit. Submissions are due August 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. through the Euna Solutions online bid platform. Vendors must provide Texas K-12 references and submit two evaluation laptops, compatible docks if applicable, and required cables for a 30–60 day evaluation period if selected to advance.
Evaluation will prioritize durability (25%), battery life (20%), warranty and support (20%), accidental damage protection (15%), dock and monitor compatibility (15%), and overall value (5%). TISD requests unit pricing per device as configured, volume and cooperative pricing availability, purchasing cooperative contract references (TIPS, DIR, or BuyBoard), and quote validity period.
