About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by Temple Independent School District (TISD) in Temple, Texas, seeking market information from qualified vendors regarding laptop devices for a district-wide administrative and educator refresh cycle. The RFI is issued solely for planning and informational purposes and does not obligate TISD to purchase any products or services. TISD seeks vendor recommendations for laptops that meet or exceed the specifications of the current district standard, the Lenovo ThinkPad L13 2-in-1 Gen 6, which features an Intel Core Ultra 5 225U processor, Windows 11 Pro 64-bit operating system, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD storage, a 13.3" WUXGA touchscreen display, 720P HD camera, Intel Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, and a 41Wh battery. The RFI response deadline is August 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with submissions required through the Euna Solutions online bid platform. Any resulting purchase will be conducted through an approved procurement method consistent with Texas Education Code 44.031 and district board policy, potentially utilizing an approved purchasing cooperative contract. Vendors are required to complete the Vendor Response Matrix, Questionnaires Q-13BI and Q-18QW, and Pricing Sheet BT-61WP, and must address seven narrative questions regarding device suitability, battery performance, warranty and support, compatibility, security capabilities, cooperative purchasing agreements, and overall fit for TISD.

Evaluation will prioritize durability (25%), battery life (20%), warranty and support (20%), accidental damage protection (15%), dock and monitor compatibility (15%), and overall value (5%). Vendors must demonstrate that proposed devices support a five-year K-12 administrative lifecycle and maintain compatibility with existing USB-C docking stations and dual-monitor configurations. The RFI requests unit pricing per device as configured, information on volume and cooperative pricing availability, purchasing cooperative contract references (such as TIPS, DIR, or BuyBoard), and the quote validity period. Vendors must provide Texas K-12 references and be prepared to provide two evaluation laptops, compatible docks if applicable, and required cables for a 30-60 day evaluation period if selected to advance. No specific funding amounts, set-asides, or incumbent information is specified in this informational request document.
