About this opportunity
The Idaho Office of the State Board of Education has requested an exemption from the competitive bidding process for the procurement of a School Resource Officer Program Coordinator position through the Department of Administration (DOP). This procurement seeks to fill a specialized coordinating role within the School Resource Officer Program, though the specific deliverables, qualifications, and detailed job responsibilities are referenced in the agency's attached request documentation. The opportunity was posted on April 28, 2026, with a closing date of May 4, 2026, providing suppliers with a limited six-day window to submit relevant information. Rather than a traditional competitive procurement, this notice invites interested suppliers and stakeholders to provide information that may either support or contradict the agency's claim that open competition would be impractical, unreasonable, or disadvantageous to the State. All submissions must be made through the IPRO system as supplier attachments or via email to purchasing@adm.idaho.gov prior to the May 4, 2026 deadline. The final decision regarding the exemption from competition remains entirely discretionary with the DOP Administrator, and suppliers have no right to appeal this determination.
No specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, incumbent vendor information, or budget values are disclosed in this procurement notice. The opportunity does not identify any particular restrictions on the types of organizations eligible to respond, nor does it reference existing infrastructure, technology integration requirements, or award value ranges. This exemption from competition process is presented as a transparency measure by DOP, allowing the public and potential suppliers to weigh in on the agency's justification before a final procurement determination is made.

The Idaho Department of Administration, Division of Purchasing, hereby publishes notice of intent to approve a sole source authorization for Idaho Military Division to purchase BAK-12 and BAK-14H Aircraft Arresting Systems from "Curtiss-Wright Arresting Systems": Safran Aerosystems Arresting, now operating under Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Service LLC, doing business as Curtiss-Wright Arresting Systems, following its acquisition in 2022. This notice is being given pursuant to Idaho Code section 67-9221. The Administrator of the Division of Purchasing has determined that there is only one vendor qualified to provide this property (commodity or service). A copy of the request for sole source authorization is attached in the Buyer Attachments section of IPRO. Any interested vendor may file a challenge to this sole source procurement, in accordance with Idaho Code section 67-9232(4), by giving timely notice (within five (5) business days after the closing date of this IPRO Notice) to: purchasing@adm.idaho.gov.
