About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is pursuing a single source procurement for a "Fresh from Florida" Grocery Retailer Marketing Program with Sprouts Farmers Market. This is a statutorily mandated fifteen business day advertisement for a marketing services contract to promote Florida agricultural products. The contract will run from the date of execution through June 30, 2026, with Sprouts Farmers Market required to provide comprehensive marketing services including weekly online sale flyers featuring Florida agricultural products, in-store signage distribution, in-store promotions, vendor-specific publications, and social media management. Key deliverables include circular advertisements, magazine promotions, television advertising, and social media content that highlights Florida agricultural commodities and value-added products. The procurement is authorized under Florida Statute 571.2 and allows other potential vendors to submit information about their capabilities by July 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Prospective vendors must provide relevant information to demonstrate their ability to meet the contract requirements, with the Department reserving the right to determine if the services are available from a single source.
The procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations. Sprouts Farmers Market is the proposed vendor, with the company's unique marketing capabilities forming the basis of the single source justification. The contract has an approximate initial value of $100,000.00, with a total estimated amount of up to $150,000.00. Vendors must be non-paid members of the "Fresh From Florida" Industry Membership program to be considered. The procurement process allows for alternative vendors to submit competing information, creating a quasi-competitive environment despite the single source intent. The contract will be posted on the Vendor Information Portal pursuant to Section 120.57(3) of Florida Statutes, providing transparency in the procurement process. The marketing program aims to broadly promote Florida's agricultural sector through a comprehensive multi-channel marketing approach.
