The MRO must maintain current knowledge of DOT drug testing program procedures, collection protocols, and chain-of-custody requirements; complete requalification training every five years; and maintain internal tracking systems documenting receipt, interview, and reporting dates to ensure compliance with regulatory windows. The MRO must also review at least 5% of negative results to ensure proper staff performance and report verified results to the Designated Employer Representative without unnecessary delays.
