About this opportunity

The Thomas County Board of Commissioners is pursuing a sole source procurement for eight LifePak 35 Cardiac Monitors for Thomas County Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The procurement is specifically targeting Stryker as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and sole provider of these specialized medical monitoring devices. The comprehensive procurement includes not only the cardiac monitors but also associated accessories such as lithium-ion batteries, battery chargers, power adapters, sensors, cuffs, printer kits, and storage bag kits. Vendors interested in challenging the sole source designation may submit statements of capabilities to the Thomas County Purchasing Department by September 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., which represents the 15-calendar-day response window from the initial posting date. The procurement allows for potential alternative vendors to demonstrate their ability to meet or exceed the specified technical requirements and compatibility standards for the cardiac monitoring equipment.

The sole source procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent organizations. Stryker has emphasized that they do not authorize third-party resellers for these products and services, which reinforces their exclusive positioning. The estimated contract value is $394,751.25, which includes a trade-in credit of $40,000 for four existing LP15 V4 High monitors. Additional components of the procurement include an EMS Pro Tier 2 software package and cellular modems. The pricing is valid for 30 days with Net 30 payment terms, and the procurement is specifically focused on equipment integration with existing EMS systems. The opportunity is geographically situated in Terrell County, Georgia, though the procurement is being conducted by the Thomas County Board of Commissioners.
