About this opportunity

The State Department of Information Technology Services (ITS), through the Idaho Division of Purchasing, is seeking qualified vendors for a comprehensive Video Management System (VMS) procurement to provide surveillance capabilities across Idaho State Agencies. The solicitation covers the complete design, installation, and purchase of a sophisticated surveillance infrastructure, including Network Video Recorders, storage servers, cameras, and network switches. The procurement requires vendors to provide a fully integrated solution that meets the state's technical specifications for monitoring and recording across multiple state facilities. Interested vendors must submit their responses by April 15, 2024, with a focus on delivering a turnkey surveillance system that can effectively monitor and record activities throughout state agency locations. The evaluation criteria will likely emphasize technical capabilities, system integration potential, total cost of ownership, and the vendor's ability to deploy a comprehensive and scalable surveillance solution.

While the procurement documents do not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or vendor restrictions, the solicitation appears to be open to qualified technology providers with expertise in enterprise-level video management systems. The procurement does not indicate a preference for disadvantaged business enterprises or small business set-asides. No incumbent vendor is specifically mentioned in the documentation, suggesting this may be a new implementation or replacement of an existing system. The solution must be capable of integrating with existing state technology infrastructure, potentially including current network systems and monitoring platforms. Although a precise budget range is not specified, the complexity of the VMS procurement suggests a significant investment, likely in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, with potential multi-year implementation and support requirements. Vendors should be prepared to demonstrate comprehensive technical capabilities, proven deployment experience in government settings, and a robust, scalable surveillance solution.
