About this opportunity
The State of Georgia, through Southeastern Technical College, is issuing an electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (O.C.G.A. 50-5-50 et seq.) for a one-time purchase of a Sole Brand Boss CNC Pro 8 Plasma Table to replace an existing non-operational machine. The procurement is restricted to this specific make, model, and brand with no substitutions permitted. The machine will serve as an educational tool to introduce students to CNC fundamentals, including 3-axis X, Y, and Z capabilities, plasma and oxy fuel cutting operations, and 4-axis cutting and coping capabilities on pipe and tubing through the rotary cutter addition. The equipment is intended to prepare students for career opportunities in the automotive industry, which is expanding in the region. The eRFQ was posted on March 23, 2026, with a submission deadline of April 9, 2026. For technical assistance with registration or accessing profiles, suppliers may contact the DOAS Customer Service Help Desk at 404-657-6000 or ProcurementHelp@doas.ga.gov, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding state holidays and closure days.
The procurement does not specify set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent eligibility based on disadvantaged enterprise status or organizational type, indicating this is an open procurement available to any qualified supplier capable of providing the specified equipment. No incumbent vendors, current contractors, or specific technology integration requirements are mentioned in the opportunity documentation. The procurement does not disclose a specific budget range or award value in the available information, though the nature of the procurement as a single-unit equipment purchase for educational purposes suggests a defined budget exists within Southeastern Technical College's capital or operational funds.
