About this opportunity

Cherokee County School District (CCSD) in Georgia is soliciting proposals for chicken processing services with a proposal due date of June 11, 2026, and has issued Addendum No. 1 on May 29, 2026 clarifying product specifications. The RFP may be awarded to multiple proposers at CCSD's discretion.

The scope encompasses fourteen chicken product line items—breaded patties, whole muscle fillets, grilled fillets, fajita strips, breakfast fillets, popcorn chicken (white and dark meat), nuggets, breaded strips, tenderloins, chunks (standard and spicy varieties), and shredded chicken—all produced from USDA Commodity Code 100103 chicken. All products must be fully cooked, individually quick frozen (IQF), zero trans fat, packed in interior food-safe poly liners without foil wrap, and comply with specified sodium limits (230–620 mg per serving depending on product type). Breading must be at least 50% whole grain. Products must be CN labeled or supported by signed product formulation statements documenting meal component contributions. Projected annual usage ranges from 196 to 1,078 cases across the fourteen items for contract term July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Addendum No. 1 removed "tenderloin" references from chicken breast chunk descriptions while maintaining all other specifications.

Proposers must certify compliance with Buy American Policy (over 51% domestic agricultural content), maintain HACCP plans with traceability and 24/7 recall capability, meet civil rights and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements, comply with Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act and E-Verify registration, and provide comprehensive insurance (general liability $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate, cyber liability $3,000,000). For contracts exceeding $100,000 involving mechanics or laborers, Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage applies. Proposers must complete a noncollusion certification, debarment and suspension certification (AD-1047), business reference form (five references from comparable organizations), subcontractor disclosure, civil rights assurance statement, and acknowledgement of terms. Pricing must be firm for the full contract term, stated as net case price delivered to CCSD warehouse, price per serving, and value per pound. Standard minimum production runs are 10,000 pounds; truckload poundage is 36,000 pounds. Payment terms are net 30 days after complete authorized delivery. All questions must be submitted through the Euna Procurement Message Center.
