The scope of work includes removing existing guardrail and asphalt, installing Type 60MS and Type 60PR concrete barriers, crash cushions, drainage inlets, and associated construction activities across a project area identified at postmile R11.28. Additionally, contractors must demonstrate compliance with Buy America requirements for steel, iron, and construction materials, address lead compliance and hazardous material management, and adhere to prevailing wage requirements under Section 7-1.02K(2) of the Standard Specifications. Payment bonds and certificates of insurance are required at the time of contract award if the bidder is selected as the lowest responsible contractor, and liquidated damages up to 5 percent of the total bid may apply for violations of traffic control requirements, including lane closure restrictions for special events and holidays.
