About this opportunity

Red Rocks Community College is requesting quotes for snow removal services at its Arvada Campus parking lots under Documented Quote RRCC 27-02-DQ, with responses due September 10, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Mountain Time. The anticipated award date is September 14, 2026, with a desired Purchase Order start date of October 1, 2026.

The scope covers snow plowing, anti-icing, and de-icing for five parking lots at the Arvada Campus (with a sixth location anticipated to be added January 2028) and on-call services at the Lakewood Campus with a 1–2 hour response requirement. Snow triggering the contract accumulates at a minimum of two inches, with all snow cleared by 7:00 a.m. the following day. Required equipment includes 7.5-foot, 9-foot, and 12-foot snow plows, skid steer with plow attachments, sander equipment, and granular deicer spreader trucks. Sidewalks and pedestrian areas are excluded and handled by RRCC Facilities Staff. Contractor-owned equipment is preferred; qualified rental equipment is permitted. Billing is structured as hourly equipment charges and ton-based material costs, with mobilization and travel billable as separate line items for Lakewood Campus services.

Mandatory qualifications include at least three years of prior snowplowing business experience, a detailed equipment inventory with make, model, and year, and a minimum of two references from similar work within the last two years with named contacts and service dates. Respondents must submit a completed Vendor Response and Price Sheet, current W-9 form, and documentation of mandatory requirements to Lynn Beltran at Lynn.Beltran@rrcc.edu.

The contract term is one year with options to renew for four additional years. Proposed pricing must remain firm during the initial term and include all service-delivery fees. Year 2, Year 3, and Years 4–5 pricing are subject to best-attempt fair-price estimation. Prior-season usage data is unavailable. The awarded vendor must obtain proof of Good Standing with the Colorado Secretary of State and provide an insurance certificate prior to Purchase Order execution. Price is the primary evaluation consideration. RRCC maintains 24-hour, seven-day-a-week availability and requests pre-season and post-season meetings.
