About this opportunity

Alpine School District Department of Purchasing is requesting statements of qualifications from architectural firms to design a high school gym addition at Timpanogos High School under RFSQ conducted by Timpanogos School District Professional Services, with qualifications due October 15, 2026. This is a qualifications-based procurement under Utah Procurement Code 63G-6a Part 15; vendors must not submit pricing with their qualifications.

The scope is design and related architectural services for the gym addition project. Firms must demonstrate adequate personnel, resources, and Utah business licensure in their statements of qualifications. The district will rank submissions and negotiate a contract for fair and reasonable compensation with the highest-ranked vendor. If negotiations with the top-ranked vendor fail on compensation, contract requirements, or contract documents, the district may proceed sequentially to negotiate with the next highest-ranked vendor.

Contract terms and conditions are governed by Utah state law and include standard district provisions: indemnity protection for the district against contractor negligence, compliance with federal and state employment discrimination laws, a one-year product warranty, intellectual property ownership by the district for work product developed under the contract, prohibition of subcontracting or assignment without prior written approval, and termination rights for cause (with ten business days to cure) or without cause (with sixty days' notice). The district may terminate immediately if funds are not appropriated. Contractors must maintain records for at least six years after contract termination and permit audit access by district, state, and federal auditors.

Vendors must certify anti-boycott compliance and non-engagement in economic boycotts or boycotts of the State of Israel as a condition of submission. All submissions must be made through U3P by October 15, 2026. Vendors may claim confidentiality for trade secrets and commercial information under Utah Code Annotated Sections 63G-2-305 and 63G-2-309, except pricing, which is considered public.
