About this opportunity
Pierce County, Georgia, through its Board of Commissioners, issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking qualified firms to update the County's Hazard Mitigation Plan. The procurement was originally scheduled with a deadline of 1:00 p.m. on January 21, 2026, with proposals to be submitted to the Pierce County Purchasing Office located at 312 Nichols Street, Suite 5, Blackshear, Georgia 31516. However, the RFP has been cancelled effective December 23, 2025, due to misinformation regarding bid document preparation. The primary deliverable is an updated Hazard Mitigation Plan for Pierce County, though the RFP documentation does not provide specific details regarding the plan's scope, key objectives, required qualifications for proposing firms, or evaluation criteria. Prospective bidders are instructed to await reposting of the RFP with revised and corrected documentation from the responsible party, with no withdrawal of proposals permitted for ninety days following the original deadline.
The available documentation does not specify any set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on the types of organizations eligible to respond to this procurement. Similarly, no information regarding incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing infrastructure and technology requirements that may require integration is provided in the cancellation notice. The contract award value, budget range, and detailed financial parameters are not disclosed in the materials made available. Interested firms should monitor Pierce County's procurement channels for the reposted RFP with complete and accurate bidding documents before preparing and submitting proposals.
