About this opportunity
The City of Fort Worth is requesting proposals for an Agreement for Electrician Services on an as-needed basis, with proposals due September 3, 2026. A 30% small business utilization goal applies; bidders must complete the Small Business Utilization Form with current certifications for all small businesses included in their submission, and failure to do so may result in zero points for the small business goal criteria.
The scope encompasses installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems across multiple City facilities. All electricians must maintain current licenses in accordance with Texas electrical licensing standards and be able to respond to service calls within established timeframes. Proof of current licensing, insurance coverage including general liability and workers' compensation, and references from previous municipal or commercial clients are required. Proposers must submit at least three references from recent customers who have received similar services.
The contract structure is an initial one-year term with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year renewal periods, contingent upon 90 days' notice of non-renewal by either party. Compensation will be structured on an hourly rate basis or fixed-price project basis as determined during contract negotiations. Pricing must be firm and fixed, quoted in U.S. dollars, with FOB Destination, Freight Prepaid and Allowed. Payment terms are Net 30 Days unless otherwise specified. The City reserves the right to extend resulting contracts to other governmental entities with interlocal agreements under the same terms and conditions, provided the proposer agrees to such cooperative purchasing arrangements.
Evaluation uses "best value" criteria potentially including purchase price, proposer reputation, quality of services, extent to which services meet City needs, past relationship with the City, compliance with small business contracting requirements, and total long-term cost. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the Euna Portal at https://fortworthtexas.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=openOpportunities. All required forms include Form W-9, Conflict of Interest Questionnaire (Form CIQ), Authorized Signature and Questionnaire, and a Deviation Form if applicable. Public proposal opening will occur at Fort Worth City Hall (100 Fort Worth Trail, Fort Worth, Texas 76102) at approximately 2:00 PM CST after close.
