About this opportunity
Jordan School District in West Jordan, Utah is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for high-quality three-ring binders to be used in their Central Warehouse, with solicitation number 26RM01RFI. The procurement seeks specific binder types including 1-inch black binders without clear-view fronts, 1-inch white binders with clear-view front/spine/back, 3-inch black binders without clear-view fronts, and 2-inch white binders with clear-view front/spine/back. All binders must have two inside pockets and meet critical quality standards of not warping or bubbling while remaining economically priced. Vendors are required to submit specification sheets, cost information, and physical samples of each binder type. Questions are due on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. MDT, with full responses required by Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. MDT through the Utah Public Procurement Place Bonfire platform. The district currently uses Samsill binders (models 11300, 18537C, 11800, and 18567) but is experiencing quality issues that have led to refused shipments.
This RFI is not a procurement process and will not result in a direct contract or purchase. Vendors must submit one physical sample of each binder type to the Purchasing Department located at 7905 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah, by the submission deadline. All response preparation costs are the responsibility of the vendor, and submitted materials will become district property. The district is seeking to gather market information to determine economically realistic options for a future solicitation. While no specific set-aside designations are mentioned, the RFI is conducted in accordance with the State of Utah Procurement Code, Utah Code Annotated (UCA) Chapter 63G-6a, and applicable Administrative Rules. Vendors are required to complete a cost sheet (Attachment C) with detailed pricing information, including manufacturer details, item numbers, unit prices, total costs, case quantities, and minimum order requirements. Vendors may add additional rows to the cost sheet to provide alternative binder options.
