About this opportunity
The Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) in Muscogee County, Georgia is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB) for Transmissions & Transmission Services for the Public Works Department on an annual contract basis. The City is seeking qualified vendors to provide repair/rebuild services for various types of transmissions on an "as needed" basis. The contract period will be for two (2) years with the option to renew for three (3) additional twelve-month periods. Bids are due on May 1, 2024 by 2:30 PM (Eastern Time) and will be opened virtually during the 3:00 PM hour on the same day. The City will award the contract to a Primary and a Secondary Contractor based on the two lowest responsive, responsible vendors. The pricing structure includes an exchange price list for various transmission types, as well as labor charges for rebuilding the transmissions. Vendors must provide parts and supplies pricing, as well as a minimum 12-month warranty on repaired transmissions. The City estimates needing approximately 10 units per year for each of the listed transmission types. Vendors must have a secure facility with the capacity to store up to 8 city vehicles at a time and employ certified transmission technicians to perform the required repairs.
The RFB does not indicate any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The current incumbent vendor or contractor is not specified. The RFB also does not provide an estimated award value or budget range for this contract opportunity.
