All submissions must be clearly marked as "Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University Dormitory 2021 Project RFQ Response" and include the respondent's name and address. The projected construction start date is Spring 2024, contingent upon contract finalization and USDA-RD approval. Additional information and proposal instructions can be obtained by contacting Mark Montano, COO, at (715) 634-4790 ext 101 or mmontano@lco.edu.
LCOOU demonstrates a commitment to diversity by providing preference to businesses owned and controlled by Native Americans, minorities, and women, as defined by college policy, tribal codes, and federal regulations. The university has secured Congressional funding for the project, which will be administered by the USDA-Rural Development. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the project involves constructing a new dormitory facility with potential for 98 total beds. The university reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informalities deemed in the best interest of the institution. Potential respondents should note that the project's funding and approval are contingent on USDA-Rural Development's review and concurrence. The procurement process appears designed to encourage participation from diverse business enterprises, with particular emphasis on Native American, minority, and women-owned businesses. Interested firms should carefully review the full RFQ documentation and ensure compliance with all specified requirements and submission guidelines.
