About this opportunity

Broward County is issuing a Request for Information to determine single-source justification for Commercial Vehicle Management Software (CVMS) at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, with responses due October 23, 2026. This is a Notice of Intent to Designate Single Source; the County proposes that GateKeeper Systems Inc. is the only vendor capable of meeting its requirements and seeks evidence to the contrary or documentation of equivalent alternatives.

The specified system operates the commercial vehicle management platform and separately managed Transportation Network Company (TNC) operations module. It integrates tightly with TransCore's AVI hardware to enable remote triage and diagnostics of Radio Frequency Identification lane hardware, remote updates of RFID reader configuration, ability to control RF sensors, and rapid remote troubleshooting without on-site dispatch. The platform supports NEMA-compliant enclosures, batteries, antennas, and fiber optic and cabling connections. The software is used for enforcement and collection of per-trip fees from ground transportation operators and includes integrated software with full maintenance support.

This RFI is not a request for pricing or a purchase commitment. Prospective vendors capable of meeting or exceeding the County's requirements for the specified commodity or service, or vendors contesting the single-source designation with written explanation or supporting documentation, should respond through the electronic bidding system with any supporting information uploaded to that platform. The RFI remains posted until the closing date and time of October 23, 2026.
