A 10 percent local preference applies to Long Beach-based businesses meeting specified criteria, capped at $10,000 maximum preference value.
The scope covers complete RRFB systems including light bars, solar panels, batteries, controllers, and controller enclosures. The product must comply with Carmanah R920 Series or equivalent specification, FCC certification, Buy American, and ISO 9001 certification; a 5-year limited warranty is required. Addendum No. 1 clarified that the City seeks 4 complete crosswalk systems with signage for both approaches, one solar panel per post on each side, and one push button per side; the Polara Bulldog pushbutton is the accepted component specification and solar mount color must be natural. All work is subject to prevailing wage requirements under California Labor Code 1720 et seq. as a public works project.
The contract term is 24 months from award with options for up to two additional one-year extensions by mutual agreement. The City reserves the right to award all items to one bidder, distribute among multiple bidders, or adjust quantities based on actual needs. Delivery is to 1651 San Francisco Avenue, Long Beach, California 90813. Payment terms are Net/30 unless otherwise quoted.
Bidders must provide five current customer references, W-9 form, proof of California Secretary of State registration, debarment certification, and proof of insurability.
