About this opportunity

Granite School District is requesting bids on a QPCR analytical instrument under IFB, with bids due September 1, 2026, and anticipates a single award. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Utah Public Procurement Place (U3P) system or in writing to the district's Purchasing Department at 2500 South State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84115.

The procurement seeks a QPCR analytical instrument for delivery to the district's CTE facility. Brand name and model number serve as quality standards but are not restrictive; vendors may submit equivalent alternate products with complete manufacturer specifications, descriptive literature, and warranty information. Pricing must include freight with F.O.B. Destination terms. Delivery is required within five days of purchase order receipt. The district reserves the right to award to the overall low bidder, by line item to multiple vendors, or by lowest cost total per brand if in its best interest, and retains an option to order additional units within 12 months at quoted pricing if the supplier agrees.

Vendors with outstanding state tax liens are ineligible to submit bids. The contract is governed by Utah Code Title 63G Chapter 6a and Granite School District Procurement Policies. Contractors must carry commercial general liability insurance of at least one million dollars per occurrence and three million dollars aggregate, comply with E-Verify requirements for new employees, maintain a one-year warranty covering performance per specifications and freedom from defects, and comply with Utah Code 63G-27-102 prohibiting economic boycotts or boycotts of Israel.

The district reserves a thirty-day inspection period following delivery to verify conformance with specifications before formal acceptance. Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days from the bid due date. All questions must be submitted through U3P. A life-sciences vendor quotation on file (Life Technologies) indicates comparable equipment pricing in the range of approximately $83,000 to $84,000 with trade-in credit options and lease-to-own financing available.
