About this opportunity
Chippewa Valley Schools, a school district in Clinton Township, Michigan, is requesting sealed bids for custodial equipment under ITB 3.2627, with bids due October 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time. Questions must be submitted by October 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. to Lillian Grayson, Purchasing Coordinator.
The scope comprises 18 categories of equipment across commercial floor scrubbers (riding and walk-behind models), autonomous floor scrubbers, carpet extraction and cleaning machines, vacuum cleaners (corded and cordless backpack, upright, and wet/dry models), multipurpose cleaning machines, floor sweepers, trash containers, container dollies, and custodial carts. Estimated quantities range from 2 units for autonomous scrubbers to 40 or more for trash containers and dollies; vendors submit unit pricing on an FOB Destination basis, and the district does not guarantee minimum or maximum purchase quantities. Bidders may propose specified manufacturer models or submit alternate manufacturers and models for consideration.
Unit prices must remain firm for 12 months from award. Pricing shall include all costs for furnishing, delivery, handling, placement, unpacking, installation, training, and disposal of packaging and obsolete equipment at no additional charge. The district is tax-exempt and will not pay sales tax.
All bids must remain firm for 90 calendar days from the bid opening date. Evaluation criteria include specification compliance, total cost, warranty and support coverage, delivery timeline, and vendor experience with similar equipment and customer references from other Michigan school districts. The district reserves the right to award to the proposal best meeting its needs rather than to the lowest bidder and may split awards among multiple bidders.
Bidders must submit sworn and notarized Iran Linked Business disclosure in compliance with Michigan Public Act 517 of 2012, along with a Familial Relationship Disclosure Statement. Awarded vendors must provide comprehensive insurance coverage: worker's compensation, employer liability ($1 million), commercial general liability ($1 million per occurrence), and automobile liability ($500,000), with the district named as additional insured. Board review and award approval is scheduled for November 9, 2026.
