About this opportunity
Palm Beach County is accepting pre-qualification applications for door replacement services under RPQ #22-113-SS, with applications accepted on a rolling basis through January 23, 2028. This is a pre-qualification roster mechanism, not a single-award contract; successful applicants become eligible to bid on subsequent individual door replacement projects issued by the County on an as-needed basis.
The solicitation covers mechanized doors (revolving, sliding, swinging) and non-mechanized doors (fire-rated, panel, metal, wood) at various County locations, including the Glades area and airports, without altering building life safety plans or fire ratings. The anticipated contract term is sixty months with an estimated total expenditure of $330,000 across all projects. The scope is divided into three lots: Lot #1 (Countywide excluding Palm Beach International Airport and areas west of 20-mile bend), Lot #2 (Glades Area), and Lot #3 (Airports).
Applicants must hold current Florida or Palm Beach County licensure as a General Contractor or Window and Door Contractor, provide proof of business registration, and submit minimum three references demonstrating similar services within the past three years. Insurance requirements vary by lot: Lots #1 and #2 require $500,000 Commercial General Liability and $500,000 Business Auto Liability; Lot #3 (Airports) requires $5,000,000 for both coverages. Mandatory site inspections are required for each project, with vendors required to attend within ten minutes of the stated start time or face ineligibility for that specific project.
Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) requirements apply to all projects, with S/M/WBE participation goals determined project-by-project not exceeding $99,999 per project. All project quotes must remain valid for ten business days, and vendors must respond to quotation requests within five business days or face removal from the pre-qualified list after five consecutive non-responses. Vendor registration in Palm Beach County's Vendor Self Service (VSS) system is mandatory, as is subcontractor registration prior to contract finalization. Projects equal to or exceeding $100,000 will be separately solicited through formal competitive sealed bidding. The solicitation has been amended through Amendment #5 (posted July 23, 2026).
