About this opportunity

The State of Nevada Department of Administration Purchasing Division is procuring Peace Officer Instruction and Evaluation Services through a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Nevada Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) requires a Subject Matter Expert/Academy Instructor that is a non-state employee to instruct specific blocks of curriculum for the POST academy, including curriculum development and delivery of classroom subjects and/or reality-based training. The resulting contract(s) will be for an initial term of one year, with an option to renew for up to two additional years. Vendors must have a minimum of 15 years of law enforcement experience, with previous experience in Nevada law enforcement preferred. Responses are due by December 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM, and the cost proposals will be evaluated based on a formula to determine the lowest cost. There is no guaranteed level of business under this contract, and POST reserves the right to employ another vendor for each academy session.

The procurement does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The State will pay claims electronically unless determined that electronic payment would cause the payee undue hardship or extreme inconvenience. Vendors must agree not to engage in a boycott of Israel for the duration of the contract. The budget or possible award value is not provided in the information given.
