About this opportunity
The State of Illinois, through the Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT), is seeking a contractor to provide intra- and inter-LATA payphone services at various state-owned facilities and institutions. The selected vendor will be responsible for furnishing, installing, removing, and maintaining public coin-operated phones on an as-needed basis. The contract will require the vendor to provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and incidentals to support this service. The RFQ specifies an estimated 100 payphones to be maintained over a 12-month term, and vendors must provide a monthly maintenance cost per phone, with the state receiving 50% of commissions on revenues above the monthly maintenance cost. Proposals are due by June 17, 2021.
The state has not provided any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond to this opportunity. The incumbent vendor or current contractor is not specified, nor is any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The total contract value or budget range is also not disclosed in the provided materials.
