About this opportunity
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District ("District") is seeking proposals from qualified communications firms to provide a comprehensive NextGen911 solution, including the option to become a hosted node on Osceola or Orange County's NG911 system. The selected vendor will be responsible for implementing the NextGen911 solution and migrating VoIP and wireless calls to the District's Primary PSAP. The proposer must have demonstrated competency in networking, communications, software, and integration, and the proposed solution must comply with all relevant federal and state regulations, such as Kari's Law and the Ray Baum Act. The District is accepting bids electronically through the PlanetBids platform, with a bid deadline of February 26, 2024.
The Invitation to Bid includes several bid preferences, such as for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses. The District has not provided any information on incumbent vendors or current contractors, but the successful proposer will need to integrate with any existing infrastructure or technology. While the District has not specified a budget range, the comprehensive nature of the procurement suggests a significant investment in the NextGen911 solution and associated services.
