About this opportunity
The State of Utah Division of Purchasing is requesting bids on sleds and sand boards for Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park under IFB NC27-121, with bids due October 13, 2026. The procurement is structured to result in multiple contract awards: the lowest bidder becomes the primary contractor with first right of refusal, and the second-lowest bidder serves as secondary contractor contacted if the primary is unavailable or out of stock.
The scope includes adult sand sleds (minimum 15 inches wide by 42 inches long, heat-resistant wood laminates or composite materials, approximately 10–15 units annually); adult sandboards (120–130 cm, twin-tipped design, high-density slick bases, approximately 6–10 units annually); youth sandboards (105–110 cm, approximately 4–5 units annually); and specialized sandboarding wax in bulk boxes of approximately 350 pieces (approximately 10 boxes annually). Awarded vendors must maintain inventory of compatible replacement components including sandboard bindings, foot straps, heel straps, sled handles, and universal mounting hardware sets throughout the contract term. All equipment must be delivered FOB Destination to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, 12500 Sand Dunes Road, Kanab, Utah 84741.
The contract term is five years from award. Vendors must guarantee pricing for the first 12 months. Responses must be submitted electronically through the U3P online portal. All questions must be submitted through U3P during the designated Q&A period. Vendors must certify compliance with anti-boycott provisions under Utah Code Annotated 63G-27 and confirm non-use of forced labor products. Standard Terms and Conditions are non-negotiable; bids containing exceptions or modifications will be rejected. Award does not constitute a binding contract until a fully executed purchase order or contract is received.
