About this opportunity
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division is seeking competitive bids to establish contract(s) for monthly water treatment services and repairs of closed loop systems, cooling towers, and steam boiler related to water treatment services at the Austin State Hospital (ASH). The required services include monthly water treatment, bacterial overgrowth control, corrosion and scaling prevention, and sludge buildup mitigation. The contract term will be from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025, with two one-year renewal options. Responses are due by August 2, 2024, and HHSC will evaluate bids based on the bidder meeting the requirements, their ability to meet performance delivery, and price. An optional on-site visit is scheduled for July 16, 2024.
HHSC has determined that subcontracting opportunities are probable for this contract and requires all bidders, regardless of their Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) status, to submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan as part of their response. There are no set-aside designations, but HHSC has established a 26.0% HUB utilization goal. The historical monetary value for the same or similar services from January 10, 2024 to August 31, 2024 is $24,999.00. Funding for the contract will come from state appropriations, but the specific budget amount is not provided.
