About this opportunity

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Watercraft, is seeking bids for a kitchen drain line replacement project at Mohican State Park's campground, located in Loudonville, Ohio. The project involves comprehensive plumbing and renovation work across 24 cabins, requiring contractors to remove existing copper drain lines (containing lead), counters, cabinets, drywall, and insulation, and replace them with new 1-inch PVC drain pipes. Contractors must also install new RFP panel board access covers, replace insulation, reinstall cabinets and counters, and apply new caulking, with all material colors subject to park manager approval. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required, and potential bidders must contact Park Manager Jenny Roar at 419-296-6528 or jennifer.roar@dnr.ohio.gov to schedule. The project has a strict completion deadline of February 28, 2026, and the contractor will be responsible for all debris removal, cleanup, and material costs. The park manager will have final approval of craftsmanship and project quality prior to payment, and all work must be coordinated with park management regarding safety, foot traffic, and road traffic protocols.

While the procurement documents do not explicitly outline set-aside designations or specific restrictions on bidding organizations, contractors will need to be registered in the OhioBuys procurement system and have an OH|ID credential to participate. No incumbent vendor is mentioned, and no specific budget range is provided in the available documentation. Contractors will need to submit invoices to Financial Shared Services with detailed itemization, including purchase order number, supplier name, service location, invoice number, service completion date, and separate line charges for labor and materials. The purchase order will be valid through June 30, 2026, with any work after that date requiring a new purchase order. Contractors must maintain appropriate insurance, including commercial general liability insurance of at least $2,000,000 per occurrence, automobile liability coverage of $1,000,000 per accident, and workers' compensation insurance with statutory limits. The State of Ohio will evaluate bids based on responsiveness and responsibility, with award determination made on a line-item basis.
