About this opportunity
The City of Alameda through the Alameda County Courts is soliciting proposals for Managed Print Services to provide comprehensive support, supplies (excluding paper), and maintenance for the Court's printer fleet. This Invitation for Bids (IFB) procurement, posted on April 1, 2026, with a deadline of April 30, 2026, seeks a qualified vendor to manage all aspects of the Court's printing infrastructure. The scope of work includes monthly visual inspections, designated operator functions, bi-annual inspections, filter replacements, and related maintenance services across multiple facility locations. Qualified bidders must possess a valid local business license, California Contractor State License Board certification (General A or C-61/D-40 classification), and current International Code Council (ICC) certifications for relevant operators and inspectors, along with Level 3 Veeder Root certifications. All contractors and subcontractors must maintain current registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to comply with prevailing wage requirements. The anticipated contract term is June 1, 2026, through May 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension at the Court's discretion. The award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest bid price. Interested parties are encouraged to conduct a walk-through site visit, which can be arranged by contacting the appropriate Court office with 24 hours advance notice.
Bidders may claim preferences as small businesses, micro businesses, non-small business subcontractors, Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE), or Nonprofit Veteran Service Agencies; however, DVBE participation requirements have been waived, though DVBE incentive participation remains available. All vendors must maintain Commercial General Liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, Automobile Liability coverage of $1,000,000 combined single limit, Pollution Liability coverage of $1,000,000 per incident and $2,000,000 annual aggregate, and Workers' Compensation coverage as required by law. The contract is subject to California prevailing wage rates, public works contractor registration requirements, and all applicable federal and state statutes and regulations. No incumbent vendor or budget range information is provided in the available solicitation documentation. Prospective bidders should visit the Alameda Courts website at https://www.alameda.courts.ca.gov/general-information/contract-opportunities for comprehensive solicitation details, specifications, and any additional requirements necessary to prepare a responsive proposal.
