About this opportunity

The State of Maine is requesting quotations for M992 FAASV (Forward Area Ammunition Supply Vehicle) replacement parts under an RFQ with a deadline of April 19, 2013, to support vehicle refurbishment and maintenance operations at a production facility in Limestone, Maine.

The scope comprises approximately 550 distinct replacement and repair parts organized across two tabs, including engine components, transmission elements, hydraulic systems, electrical assemblies, cooling systems, ammunition conveyor systems, structural elements, gaskets, seals, hoses, filters, bearings, electrical switches, solenoids, fasteners, and mechanical assemblies. Parts are identified by National Stock Number (NSN) and manufacturer part number. Projected 12-month purchase volumes vary by component type with no guaranteed minimum or maximum quantities.

The State will award a one-year purchasing agreement to one or more vendors, with extension eligibility beyond the initial term. Quoted prices must be submitted on a net F.O.B. destination basis with all freight and delivery charges prepaid by the contractor and included in unit prices. Prices are fixed throughout the contract period unless periodic adjustments are negotiated in writing. The State reserves the right to award contracts on an individual item basis or grouped, whichever serves the best interest of the State, and to adjust quantities by up to 10 percent. Delivery orders will be transmitted via email, with shipments accepted only up to two weeks in advance of stated delivery dates.

Vendors must furnish a Certification Regarding Debarment, Suspension, and Other Responsibility Matters per Executive Order 12549 and 29 CFR Part 98, Section 98.510. Contractors must be prepared to provide product samples for evaluation at their own expense prior to contract award. Certificates of Conformance to Military and OEM standards may be required. The State participates in Buy American Act requirements and is exempt from Federal and Maine State sales and use taxes. All quotes must close electronically at 2:00 p.m. local time. The State reserves the right to reject any or all quotes and procure materials from alternative sources at the contractor's expense in case of default.
