About this opportunity

Mt. San Antonio Community College District is requesting proposals for the furnishing, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a large tension fabric tent structure under RFQ #2026-070, with proposals due July 6, 2026 and delivery and installation required by August 24, 2026.

The scope is a 25-meter by 30-meter by 4-meter clear-span tent system with a 25-meter by 5-meter white mid-kit A-frame gable section at Parking Lot M. The framework must be hard-pressed extruded structural aluminum alloy with hinged pivot baseplates and full manufacturer-required roof and sidewall stabilization bracing. Roof and sidewall materials shall be double-coated blackout white PVC polyester fabric with a minimum weight of 850 g/m² (25 oz/yd²), 100 percent waterproof, ripstop treated, ultraviolet resistant, and corrosion resistant. Long sidewalls shall be solid white PVC-coated fabric panels; short ends shall have solid white PVC-coated fabric curtain panels. The structure must be anchored with 42-inch industrial-grade galvanized double-head earth stakes at all baseplate locations and engineered to withstand sustained wind speeds from 100 km/h (62 mph) to 140 km/h (86 mph), with fabric materials tested to maintain integrity within a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C. Proposals shall include all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and incidentals for complete installation. Proposers shall submit a separate line-item cost for one-time disassembly and removal of the entire structure by June 30, 2027, as an optional alternate.

Pricing shall be submitted as a lump-sum base bid for complete purchase, delivery, and installation, plus a separate lump-sum cost for the optional disassembly service. Respondents must provide a detailed pricing breakdown and specifications, proof of insurance meeting District requirements, and a completed vendor packet. The District will take full ownership upon completion and final acceptance. Contractors are classified as independent contractors and subject to the District's Basic Services Agreement template and standard withholding requirements for nonresident California contractors.

Opportunity text

The Mt. San Antonio Community College District (District) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for the furnishing, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a temporary tension fabric tent structure to support District operations and program activities.

The proposed structure shall consist of a 25-meter by 30-meter by 4-meter clear-span tent system, including a 25-meter by 5-meter white mid-kit A-frame gable section. The tent framework shall be constructed of hard-pressed extruded structural aluminum alloy and incorporate hinged (pivot) baseplates at all vertical support locations. The structure shall include all manufacturer-required roof and sidewall stabilization bracing necessary to provide a complete, safe, and code-compliant installation.

The tent roof and sidewall materials shall consist of double-coated blackout white PVC polyester fabric with a minimum weight of 850 g/m² (25 oz/yd²). Fabric shall be 100 percent waterproof, ripstop treated, ultraviolet resistant, and corrosion resistant. Long sidewalls shall be solid white PVC-coated fabric panels, while short ends shall be equipped with solid white PVC-coated fabric curtain panels.

The tent shall be securely anchored utilizing 42-inch industrial-grade galvanized double-head earth stakes at all baseplate locations. The completed structure shall be engineered to safely withstand sustained wind speeds ranging from 100 km/h (62 mph) up to 140 km/h (86 mph) and shall utilize fabric materials tested to maintain structural and material integrity within a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C (-22°F to 158°F).

Proposals shall include all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and incidentals necessary to provide a complete and operational installation. In addition, proposers shall provide a separate line-item cost for a future one-time disassembly of the tent structure, including removal of all fabrics, framework components, anchoring systems, and accessories, and placement of all components into a District-owned steel shipping container for on-site storage.

The District seeks a turnkey solution that provides a durable, weather-resistant, and safe temporary structure that meets the performance requirements outlined in these specifications.
