About this file

This is a tent purchase specification document prepared by Mt. San Antonio Community College District in California for the furnishing, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a temporary tension fabric tent structure. The District is soliciting proposals for a 25-meter by 30-meter by 4-meter clear-span tent system with a 25-meter by 5-meter white mid-kit A-frame gable section to support District operations and program activities. The tent framework shall be constructed of hard-pressed extruded structural aluminum alloy with hinged pivot baseplates at all vertical support locations, and all manufacturer-required roof and sidewall stabilization bracing must be included to ensure a complete, safe, and code-compliant installation at the College's Parking Lot M site.

The tent roof and sidewall materials shall consist of double-coated blackout white PVC polyester fabric with a minimum weight of 850 g/m² (25 oz/yd²), which must be 100 percent waterproof, ripstop treated, ultraviolet resistant, and corrosion resistant. Long sidewalls shall feature solid white PVC-coated fabric panels, while short ends shall be equipped with solid white PVC-coated fabric curtain panels. The structure shall be anchored with 42-inch industrial-grade galvanized double-head earth stakes at all baseplate locations and engineered to withstand sustained wind speeds from 100 km/h (62 mph) to 140 km/h (86 mph), with fabric materials tested to maintain integrity within a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C (-22°F to 158°F). Proposers must provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and incidentals necessary for complete installation, and shall submit a separate line-item cost for future one-time disassembly of the entire structure.
