About this opportunity

The Commonwealth of Kentucky's Finance and Administration Cabinet, on behalf of the Kentucky Historical Society (KHS), is seeking proposals for a comprehensive Point of Sale (POS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The primary objectives are to enhance the visitor experience through online admission ticketing and program/event sales, modernize gift shop operations, centralize visitor attendance tracking and reporting, and improve financial accounting and reporting. The RFP requires an integrated system with functionality for admissions, payment processing, online ticket sales, activity/program registration, memberships, mobile ticketing, gift shop operations, ecommerce, and event facility rentals. Proposals must comply with detailed technical, performance, and security requirements and are due by April 9, 2020. The initial contract term is for two years with four optional two-year renewal periods.

The RFP does not indicate any set-aside requirements or an incumbent vendor. KHS currently relies on manual processes, and the new system is expected to integrate with their existing Blackbaud Raiser's Edge membership management system. The RFP does not provide a budget range, but pricing adjustments are allowed after the first 12 months of the contract, and the contract may be extended beyond the initial term at the Commonwealth's discretion.
