About this opportunity
The City of College Park, Georgia is issuing an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the replacement of a 250-gallon gas-fired storage water heater located at the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC). The selected contractor will be responsible for disconnecting the existing system, furnishing and installing a new fire tube gas-fired storage water heater (TurboPower model# PVI750L250A-TP1), and restoring the system to full operation. The project requires the contractor to be qualified, licensed, and insured. Bids are due no later than March 5, 2024, at 9:30 am EST, and the contract will be awarded to the most responsive and responsible offeror, not necessarily the lowest bidder. The contract term is for one (1) year with an option to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods.
The City strongly encourages minority, woman-owned, and small business owners to submit proposals. The ITB clarifies that the City only requires a bid bond, not a 100% performance and payment bond. The City also specifies that all insurance should be identified under the business name when submitting a proposal, and a personal auto insurance policy under the owner's name will not be accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids based on past performance and to waive technicalities and informalities. No further details are provided regarding the budget range or any listed incumbent vendors or current contractors.
