About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking a single source vendor to provide services for the 2nd International Roadside Safety Conference and Peer Exchange in June 2024. This conference is part of a Pooled Fund Study that will allow state DOTs to assist the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Roadside Safety Design committee in reducing deaths and serious injuries associated with roadway departure crashes. The primary objective is to provide a forum for global professionals to share and discuss efforts to improve roadside safety. FDOT intends to award a single source contract to the National Academy of Sciences, which is spearheading the conference, for an estimated $80,000 from the current period through June 30, 2025. FDOT will post notice of its intended decision to enter into a single source purchase contract if it is determined that the services are available only from a single source after reviewing any information received from prospective vendors by the due date of December 22, 2023.

The contract will be funded through the Pooled Fund Study, and no other pricing, set-aside, or funding details are provided. The incumbent vendor is the National Academy of Sciences, and no specific integration requirements are mentioned. Interested vendors must submit their information by 5:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday, December 22, 2023, to the email or mailing address listed in the posting.
