About this opportunity
The Kenton County Airport Board is soliciting proposals for Information Technology Equipment & Commodity Software with proposals due June 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. A Kentucky resident-bidder preference applies: Kentucky residents receive preference equal to the preference given by the non-resident bidder's home state, with Kentucky residents also receiving preference in tie situations. Qualifying resident bidders must be authorized to transact business in Kentucky and must have filed Kentucky Corporate Income Taxes, made unemployment insurance fund payments, and maintained workers compensation coverage during the one-year period prior to and through the advertisement date.
The scope includes Dell laptop and desktop computers with specified processor and memory configurations, LG commercial displays ranging 27 to 98 inches, Cat 6 patch cabling, APC Smart UPS power management systems, Logitech wireless peripherals, Dell docking stations, and commodity software including Adobe Creative Suite applications (Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere), Visual Studio, BarTender (one software support license and 15 printer support licenses), Plumsail for PDF generation via PowerAutomate, ShareGate for SharePoint data migration, and SnagIt for screenshot capabilities (one enterprise site license, potentially excluded).
The contract term runs August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027, with KCAB holding the option to renew for two additional one-year periods at its sole discretion. Compensation is on a time-and-materials basis with a not-to-exceed amount based on rates in Exhibit A. The contractor must maintain commercial general liability insurance with minimum limits of $2 million per occurrence ($10 million if performing work on aircraft ramps, taxiways, or runways), automobile liability coverage, workers compensation, and unemployment insurance, with KCAB named as an additional insured. Written questions are due June 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., with answers posted no later than June 4, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Addendum #1 Revision was posted June 4, 2026. A prior minimum-qualifications amendment deleted the requirement that vendors be located in the United States, opening bidding to international suppliers.
