About this opportunity
The Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) is seeking a qualified vendor to provide and administer influenza vaccinations to eligible persons, including State employees, retirees, and university staff, at locations in the metropolitan Chicago area and central Illinois from October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2021. The vendor must supply all vaccines, medical supplies, and staffing necessary to efficiently and effectively administer the immunizations. Bids are due by August 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm central time, and CMS has the option to renew the contract for up to two additional one-year terms. Regarding pricing, the vendor must bid a per-dose administrative fee as well as a percentage of the average wholesale price (AWP) for the vaccine acquisition fee. The total estimated contract price will be calculated by multiplying the pricing for each contract year by an estimated 3,300 immunizations per year and summing the five-year total.
There are no small business set-aside or minority/veteran business participation requirements for this procurement. The successful vendor will be the responsive and responsible bidder with the lowest total estimated contract price. The contract was previously awarded to Maxim Healthcare Services for $167,275 over a 36-month initial term with two optional 1-year renewal periods through an Invitation for Bid (IFB) process. The IFB received one responsive and responsible bid, and the award decision was based on the lowest priced bidder meeting the requirements of the solicitation.
