The Jordan School District (JSD) is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for exercise equipment maintenance and repair services on a district-wide basis across 22 locations, including three high schools, two middle schools, and two special schools in Salt Lake County, Utah. The procured services include preventative maintenance conducted three times annually for high schools and two times annually for middle schools and special schools, encompassing safety inspections, weld and cable inspections, equipment cleaning, upholstery repair, lubrication, hardware tightening, and functional testing. Bidders must service and perform warranty work for specified equipment brands including weight racks and adjustable benches from Wilder, Promaxima, and Rogue; single station selectorized weight machines from Hoist and Universal; spin bikes from Cascade and LeMond; and treadmills and ellipticals from Precor and LifeFitness. Qualified bidders must demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience as licensed contractors and provide hourly pricing for maintenance labor with parts and markup costs calculated separately, with mileage and fuel surcharges included in the hourly rate. Routine repair costs exceeding $1,000 require prior written approval from JSD, while repairs exceeding 50 percent of equipment value require authorization from the Facility Services Department. All pricing must be guaranteed for one year from contract commencement, with subsequent adjustments requiring documented justification and approval from the JSD Purchasing Director. Questions must be submitted by Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. MDT, and bids are due on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. MDT through the Utah Public Procurement Place (U3P) Bonfire portal.

The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder and will commence upon bid acceptance for an initial one-year term with the option for JSD to extend the contract for up to four additional annual renewals, for a maximum of five years total. No specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are identified in the solicitation documents. Bidders must comply with all applicable requirements under the State of Utah Procurement Code (Utah Code Annotated Chapter 63G-6a), including mandatory Utah State contractor licensing verification with a minimum five years' experience requirement, comprehensive insurance obligations with JSD named as an additional insured, and certification of compliance with Utah Code 63G-27-102 regarding economic boycott restrictions, specifically prohibiting boycotts of the State of Israel and other enumerated entities. Contractors must maintain Worker's Compensation insurance, Employee Liability coverage ($1,000,000 minimum), Comprehensive General Liability ($2,000,000 combined single limit), Automobile Liability ($1,000,000), and Umbrella/Excess Liability ($5,000,000), and must comply with background check requirements for positions involving direct student contact and immigration status verification under Utah Senate Bill 81. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the solicitation documents; interested vendors should contact the JSD Purchasing Department for additional financial information and detailed specifications.
