About this opportunity
The Illinois Tollway is requesting bids on miscellaneous electrical supplies under IFB 25-1090, with electronic bids due August 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time and vendor questions due July 23, 2026. A Business Enterprise Program (BEP) utilization goal of 25% applies; failure to submit a completed BEP Utilization Plan with documentation of good faith efforts renders the bid non-responsive.
The scope includes conduit (EMT and rigid, ranging from 1/2" to 1" diameter in quantities of 1,600 to 8,000 feet), flexible conduit, connectors, clamps, hangers, straps, wire connectors, weatherproof boxes, receptacles, light fixtures, and coating. Vendors must bid on all line items to be considered responsive. Pricing consists of firm prices for specified items in Table 1 and percent discounts from manufacturer's list price for catalog items in Table 2, with discounts applied to designated manufacturers including 3-M, Ideal, Raco, Mulberry, Appleton, Steel City-Kindorf, Thomas & Betts, Burndy, Crouse Hinds, Square D, Hoffman, and Lithonia. Delivery is to the Illinois Tollway's Central Warehouse in Naperville, Illinois, within ten working days of order receipt. The initial contract term is two years with firm pricing throughout; annual adjustments after year one may be requested at least sixty days prior to renewal, subject to Board approval and indexed to the Producer Price Index for electrical equipment.
Vendors must maintain General Commercial Liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 annual aggregate, plus worker's compensation insurance. Bids remain firm for 180 days from opening. No bid bond or performance bond is required. Electronic submission through BidBuy is mandatory; paper responses are not accepted. All required documents—Vendor Disclosure or IPG Active Registered Vendor Disclosure, Offer to the State of Illinois, Contract, and BEP Utilization Plan—must be submitted through BidBuy's Attachments tab. The contract may be partially or wholly funded with Federal funds; the percentage and dollar amount will be disclosed upon notice of award. A $15 administrative fee applies to any award of $1,000 or more.
