About this opportunity

This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) for Chaplaincy Critical Incident Stress and Post-Trauma Stress Crisis Services. The CDCR is seeking a contractor to provide 24/7 emergency critical incident response services, a confidential crisis line, critical incident stress debriefings, and other related services statewide for CDCR employees and their eligible dependents. The contract term is for three years from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2027, with two optional one-year extensions. Bids are due by April 30, 2024, and a public bid opening will be held on May 2, 2024. The contractor must be ecclesiastically certified and have experience in law enforcement trauma, pastoral care, and critical incident stress management. The services are expected to reduce the likelihood of serious post-trauma stress reactions and promote worksite wellness.

The IFB outlines small business preference programs and DVBE incentives. Travel expenses are reimbursable based on specified rates. The agreement is not to exceed a total budget amount across the initial three-year term and optional two-year extensions, but the specific budget range is not provided. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed, and the IFB does not indicate any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration.
