The machine must be newly manufactured (not remanufactured or reconditioned) and capable of testing plastic pipe ranging from 4 to 60 inches in diameter for stiffness and flattening characteristics per AASHTO M252, AASHTO M294, ASTM F949, ASTM D3034, and AWWA standards. The equipment must achieve a compression rate of 0.50±0.02 inches (12.5±0.5 mm) per minute per ASTM D2412 and D695 test methods with segmented testing capability for increased head speed on flattening tests. Required specifications include a frame capacity of maximum 300 kilonewtons, crosshead speed range of 0.05 to 500 mm/min, minimum crosshead travel of 1,600 millimeters, stroke resolution of 0.001 millimeters, and load measurement accuracy of 0.5 percent of reading down to 1/1000 of load cell capacity. The machine must operate on standard 120V or 220V power with included software and computer systems.
The vendor must be an established manufacturer or authorized dealer with proof of manufacturer authorization. Delivery is F.O.B. destination during weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with 24-hour advance notification required to District 24.
